Today while waiting to be swiped in at the gym, I encountered an older man who my family knows from our synagogue. He commented to me that I looked like I'd gained a few inches, and I was taken aback - first of all because I haven't, and second of all, because who is he to make that kind of comment to me?!
"In height?" I asked uncertainly, trying to save the situation.
"Yeah, yeah, in height," he replied.
I've been the same height since eighth grade.
Also, I need someone to come over here with a shovel and dig my dignity out of this pit it's in. It started with reading Sherlock Holmes fanfic, which progressed to BBC Sherlock fanfic, which ultimately turned into 'Why the hell am I reading Sherlock/Harry Potter Crossovers and enjoying them."
Well, it's this or watch another ten episodes of Community. I can't help myself. It's hilarious.

'Ships passing in the night
This is fandom blabber that's not going to make sense to basically all my readers.
Of course I shouldn't really say anything because I used to 'ship Jacen/Nen Yim back when I was ficcing in Star Wars.
But really, who in their right mind 'ships Trotsky/Stalin?
OH WAIT WE JUST MADE THAT ONE UP.

A cool few days:
SO JUST A QUICK RECAP OF MY LIFE SINCE SATURDAY.

Really I have no idea what is going on.)
I will elaborate on any of these points further upon request!

Back to the fandom? Naaaah...
Today I realized I would only go back to Star Wars fanfic if I could spend my time writing Goran Beviin/Medrit Vasur fanfic. And then I realized Theforce.net doesn't allow slash, even if it's canon. And then I got sad for a bit but then decided I don't really want to go back to Star Wars fanfic because no one would remember me on the comms and I'd probably start an epic, promptly forget about it, and never finish. But seriously I find Goran and Medrit so much more compelling than any other couple in Star Wars at the moment because seriously, Anakin Solo is dead, Tahiri's a nutcase, and the Jaina/Jag/Kyp/Zekk quadrangle has finally died and my side lost. (I hope they are still calling Jag Captain Cardboard on the comms.)
So in short:
Back to the fandom? Nah.
